Ecumenical work continues with our local churches together, meeting regularly for worship on a fifth Sunday afternoon but also supporting Christian Aid week, Week of Prayer for Unity, an annual Fish & Chip supper (in rural parts the visit of a Fish and Chip van is a great event!!) and a monthly Trade Craft coffee morning. We have as Anglicans, great fellowship with our brothers and sisters of the Methodist church, United Reformed church, Roman Catholic Church (Wickhambrook Methodist and United Reform churches and Kirtling RC church).
The Church of England maintains special relationships with the Methodist Church of Great Britain (through the Anglican-Methodist Covenant signed in 2003) and with the Moravian Church of Britain and Ireland (through the Fetter Lane Agreement signed in 1995.
The Church of England maintains regular bilateral links with the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales through the English Anglican-Roman Catholic Commission.
The CCU arranges structured but informal conversations with other Churches from time to time.
The CCU also gives advice and support for local ecumenical relationships and is keen to encourage new ways in which Churches locally can work together in mission.
The members of these churches meet together on a regular basis to have services and events throughout the year.
