The History Of All Saints' Stansfield
Introduction
The existing All Saints' Church, Stansfield is large for a small
village and stands towards the top of Plough hill to the north of
the village. Its tower is visible, especially when lit up at night,
for several miles when approaching the village. The present church
which is built of flint rubble faced with freestone is but the latest
of many Churches to exist on this site. Every generation has worshipped
here and has repaired, improved, restored or rebuilt the church
to create our existing church.
