Edna Lyall (Ada Ellen Bayly) author of the book "In the golden days" was set in Wickhambrook and mentions All Saints' church on pages 40-41. Denham tells Hugo to go to church and walks across the road from what must be the White House (at the time a coaching house and Inn) to the church.
